Balance® is a unique product that was built with input from all stakeholders, including management, accounting, banquet captains, meeting attendants, and the wait staff. User interfaces are uncluttered, easy to understand, and specifically designed to perform functions that are optimized for each user's role. This clean design intentionally masks the complexity of a standard implementation, which typically includes the automatic import of events from the hotel's banquet event software, automated staff scheduling, payroll calculations, service charge calculations, and room rental service charge distributions.

The baseline functionality of Balance® is enhanced with business rules that are customized for each property. An average property may have 30 different rules, and complex properties (especially those with union representation) may have over 60 unique business rules that directly impact banquet operations. Balance® easily accommodates heavy rotation cycles, large headcounts, multiple pools of service charges, and strict accounting policies with absolute accuracy for each transaction.

Full service banquet facilities typically employ banquet captains, wait staff, and possibly meeting attendants to work and manage events. Further, properties with union representation tend to be more involved with financial aspects of banquet operations. These properties typically have established scheduling rules and service charge distributions that may have persisted for decades. Yet each property, even if managed by the same company, under the same union, often has different scheduling rules and service charge distribution processes. Providing accurate, auditable, and fully-compliant results is absolutely crucial.
